Saudi Arabia Monetary Authority (SAMA) would like to remind the public about Eid Al-adha holiday of the current year 1439H for those agencies under its supervision according to the banking supervision systems, the executive regulations Control law of cooperative insurance companies and financing companies control system and its executive regulations.

According to circulations issued in this regard during previous month of Sha'aban that Eid Al-adha holiday for banks, financing companies, insurance companies and liberal professions will be by the end of Thursday the 5^th of Du al-Hijja corresponding to 16 August 2018, and resume on Sunday, 15 Duh al-hijjah corresponding to 26 of August (According to Umm Al Qura calendar).

SAMA asserted that banks must keep their offices in their seasonal branches in Makkah, Al-Maddinah and on the border crossings open during the Hajj season, including Fridays and Saturdays to serve pilgrims and visitors. Moreover, banks were required to open and operate a number of their branches in densely populated areas and those place where there is a need to deal with banks, airports and various border crossings for a certain period of time. Banks are required to report these branches and its working hours through the appropriate means. On the same time, it stressed on the insurance companies and liberal professions companies which provides health insurance services to ensure work continuation during the Eid holiday in order to meet the needs of insured and beneficiaries of insurance coverage.

Regarding Saudi Fast Transfer System (SARIE), SAMA pointed out that the system ends during the Eid al-adha holiday by the end of Sunday, 8 Dhu al-Hijjah, 19 August 2018, and to resume work on Thursday the 12^th of august (according to Umm Al Qura calendar). Noting that the clearinghouse will work in accordance with (SARIE) working hours.

Regarding the holiday of banks financial transfer centers on Eid al-adha, SAMA pointed out to the application of banks holiday times –mentioned earlier- to financial transfer times. SAMA stressed also that banks should open a number of transfer centers in the populated areas and where it is needed during Eid and to report the institution and appropriate means of these branches names and its working hours.
