The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA's) Data Center Facility in King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) has been certified as “TIER IV Gold" by the Uptime Institute, together with being awarded its design, construction, and operational sustainability certifications.

The TIER IV Gold classification is deemed among the highest levels of operational reliability for data centers, and the Uptime Institute is a global authority specializing in rating data centers and their standards.

Uptime Institute awards its certificates based on the application of standards that rate the operational reliability and sustainability of data centers in terms of the continuity of cooling and electrical power efficiency, as well as environmental responsibility. This achievement comes as a part of SAMA's keenness to raise the level of reliability of its operational structures of technical systems to ensure the continuity of business and technical services, in addition to sensing the responsibility of critical facilities' impact on the environment under the Saudi Vision 2030.
